PACCAR Automotive Inc. Receives Top Honors In the 1998 Arthur Andersen Best Practices Awards


    RENTON, Wash.--Oct. 6, 1998--PACCAR Automotive Inc., dba Al's Auto Supply & Grand Auto Supply, was recognized as one of the top finalists for the 1998 Arthur Andersen Best Practices Awards program for "Exceeding Customer Expectations" during an awards presentation on October 1, 1998 at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center.
    The Best Practice Awards is an annual program designed to recognize small and mid-sized companies whose business practices have led to outstanding business performances in one of three categories: Exceeding Customer Expectations, Motivating and Retaining Employees and Unleashing the Power of Technology. Companies must have less than $1 billion in revenue or less than 500 employees to be eligible for the program.
    A panel of three elite judges from the Northwest business and academic community selected PACCAR Automotive Inc. as one of the finalists from over 150 Regional area nominations, in the "Exceeding Customer Expectations" category. This award was bestowed to PAI for its outstanding practices of producing superior customer service. Al's & Grand Auto Supply's slogan of "We go the extra mile...whatever it takes" has been a consistent message in all of their business endeavors for several years now.
