Best-Ever September Sales Reported by Toyota's Cincinnati Region
    CINCINNATI, Oct. 6 -- Toyota's Cincinnati Region posted
record car sales in September of 6,835 vehicles, a 12-percent increase over
September 1997 when sales totaled 5,509.
    Combined car and truck sales totaled 7,905, an 18-percent increase over
6,678 vehicles sold in September 1997.
    "Once again, our North-American built Toyota Avalon, Corolla and Camry
sales contributed to the Region's best-ever sales month," said Mike Reding,
general manager of the Cincinnati Region.  "Avalon posted an impressive 97
percent increase, Corolla a 30 percent increase and Camry sales were 11
percent over last September.
    "Cincinnati Region dealers closed out the 1998 model year as one of their
best-ever," he added.
    The Toyota Cincinnati Region includes 118 dealers in Ohio, Kentucky,
Tennessee and the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
