Federal-Mogul Appoints Colin Brown, Managing Director, Research and Development, Rugby, EnglandSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 5 -- Alan R. Begg, vice president, technology, Federal-Mogul Corporation , announces the appointment of Colin Brown to managing director of the corporation's central research and development laboratories at Cawston House, Rugby, England. Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, Brown managed research activities in the development of advanced metallic alloys for Rolls Royce and BP. For the last five years he has been the General Manager of a Canadian owned metal powders business in the United Kingdom. Brown earned a Ph.D. and a Master's degree from the University of Cambridge. Federal-Mogul Technology, the corporation's main research center, is located near Rugby in the United Kingdom. It employs 200 people and supports all of Federal-Mogul's products.
