CSAA Offers Free Diagnostic Services to Non-Profit Organizations in Honor of National Car Care Month

SAN FRANCISCO--Oct. 5, 1998--October is National Car Care Month and CSAA and its Approved Auto Repair shops are celebrating by offering free diagnostic services to non-profit and charitable organizations.
The program "Tune In - Check Up" is designed to help non-profit organizations keep their fleet vehicles maintained properly and to diagnose potential problems. The diagnostic service includes a 100-point inspection of the vehicles' components, which covers brakes, fuel system, ignition, charging system and other mechanical functions.
"Many non-profit agencies don't have the financial resources available to do important automotive maintenance safety inspections," said Pablo Wong, CSAA's Community Affairs Manager. "CSAA is committed to keeping vehicles owned by charitable organizations on the road delivering goods and services to the people who need them most."
The program is open to all charitable and non-profit organizations in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento, Fresno, Las Vegas and Salt Lake City.
Non-profit agencies that qualify for CSAA's program will be assigned to an Approved Auto Repair facility in their area. The shop will do a free diagnostic safety check on vehicles registered to applicants.
Non-profit organizations can apply for the diagnostic safety check program by calling 415/565-2020.
