Robert R. Millard to Join FinishMaster as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

FinishMaster announced today that Robert R. Millard has joined the company and will assume the position of vice president and chief financial officer effective Nov. 1, 1998.
Millard will spend the month of October in transition with Roger A. Sorokin, who will assume the responsibilities of senior vice president, acquisitions & development, also effective Nov. 1, 1998.

Lacy, chief executive officer of FinishMaster. "As Roger Sorokin moves to head up our acquisition strategies, we are very pleased to have Bob Millard join the FinishMaster team. Millard comes to FinishMaster from his previous position as CFO of Personnel Management Inc., for whom he had worked since February 1996. He is a CPA with prior experience with Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. Before joining Personnel Management, Millard served as controller for Callahan Enterprises and as corporate controller for LDI Ltd.
Millard is a graduate of DePauw University. He received his MBA from Indiana University.
Addressing Sorokin's new responsibilities, Thomas U. Young, president and chief operating officer of FinishMaster, stated, "In our growth efforts, the right models, processes and team we use to acquire and assimilate other jobbers are critical. This requires someone who knows our industry and has experience with its economics. We believe Roger Sorokin is the right person to lead that effort."
Sorokin graduated from Aquinas College with a B.S. in business administration. He is a CPA with prior experience with Ernst & Young. His prior employment responsibilities include acquisition leadership with Haworth Manufacturing in Holland, Mich., and with FinishMaster, where he has managed multiple acquisitions.
