25 September 1998

TRANSTECH Transmission Service System Approved by Mobil Oil Corp.

SANTA ANA, Calif.--Sept. 24, 1998--MotorVac Technologies Inc. Thursday announced that its TRANSTECH(TM) Transmission Service System has been approved by Mobil Oil Corp. as the official automatic transmission fluid exchanger for all Mobil distributors.
The TRANSTECH(TM) system will be offered through Mobil's distributor group called "The Gargoyle Group." Products marketed to this group are ancillary products that will help Mobil distributors promote other Mobil products and services.
"We are extremely pleased that after testing several competitive products, Mobil Oil approved the TRANSTECH system. This system will allow their customers to offer an effective and profitable transmission fluid exchange service," said Lee W. Melody, president and chief executive officer of MotorVac Technologies.
"We will work very closely with Mobil and their distributors to make this program a big success."
The TRANSTECH(TM) is a portable system designed to make automatic transmission fluid replacement fast, simple and safe. The system connects to the transmission cooler and allows the vehicle's transmission pump to flush out the old fluid while the system pumps in new fluid, allowing for essentially all of the old fluid to be replaced.
MotorVac Technologies designs, develops, assembles and markets unique technological solutions for the service and repair of automotive fluid systems. Product lines include specialty chemicals and shop equipment for servicing fuel systems and transmission systems. MotorVac's products are distributed to service shops, fleets and government agencies in more than 70 countries worldwide.
