ROSWELL, N.M.--Sept. 24, 1998--Nova BUS Corporation is pleased to announce that it was recognised as the "Apparent Successful Bidder" for the delivery of 250 RTS transit buses to New Jersey Transit. The contract, estimated at nearly $US70 M, is accompanied by an option for 200 extra vehicles bringing the potential total contract value to approximately $125 M."New Jersey Transit, which is the second largest transit authority in North America, had received 175 RTS buses from Nova BUS in 1996, we are particularly happy to see that they renew their confidence in our products with this second large order", said Mr Dennis Tallon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Nova BUS.
The buses requested by this specific client will be powered by an environmentally friendly Clean Diesel motor, will be equipped with state of the art multiplexing and will be ADA compliant - therefore accessible to disabled people. Delivery of the first vehicles is scheduled to start in the Spring of '99.
