MascoTech Announces Executive PromotionsTAYLOR, Mich., Sept. 24 -- MascoTech today announced that Lee M. Gardner has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer from President and Co-Chief Operating Officer and Tim Wadhams has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration from Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Frank M. Hennessey, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer commented, "I am pleased with the Board of Directors' decision to promote Lee Gardner to President and Chief Operating Officer and Tim Wadhams to Executive Vice President. In a related announcement, Brian P. Campbell, formerly President and Co- Chief Operating Officer of MascoTech has resigned to become President and Chief Executive Officer of Kaydon Corporation effective September 24, 1998. Kaydon is a diversified industrial manufacturing company with 1997 sales of $329 million. "MascoTech extends its appreciation to Brian Campbell for his outstanding contributions to the company. We are certain that Brian's operational, financial and corporate development skills will be a great asset for Kaydon and we wish him success in his new endeavor," Hennessey said.
