MONROVIA, Calif.--Sept. 24, 1998--American Technologies Group, Inc. (OTC BB: ATEG), and Comtrad Industries, one of the nation's leading direct-response marketers, today announced that they have formed a strategic marketing alliance to offer a deluxe car care kit consisting of American Technologies' six proprietary automotive products, including The Force(R), its innovative airborne fuel additive. Lawrence J. Brady, chairman and CEO of ATG, said, "When we met with Comtrad Industries for the first time we knew that they would become a key player in our newly emerging market strategy. We were particularly excited about Comtrad's ability to build corporate name and brand recognition at the same time they sell our products. The establishment of American Technologies as a known entity is critical to our marketing strategy, and Comtrad is uniquely able to assist us in that goal." Chuck Anton, president of Comtrad commented, "Comtrad's interest in establishing a strategic alliance with American Technologies is a result of our firm belief that the IE Crystal and the products which utilize this catalyst are both unique and extremely effective. Comtrad recognizes the value of making such new technologies available to the consuming public. These products are new, effective and fill a real need."
