Johnson Controls Makes Executive AppointmentsMILWAUKEE, Wis., Sept. 23 -- Johnson Controls, Inc. today announced several new executive appointments. James H. Keyes, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said that John M. Barth has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of the company and that Stephen A. Roell was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Messrs. Keyes, Barth and Roell will comprise a newly created Office of the Chief Executive Officer. The company also announced that Patrick J. Dennis was named the company's Corporate Controller. Mr. Barth, 52, had served as Executive Vice President of Johnson Controls since 1992. He joined the company in 1969 and has served in a variety of operating management positions, including heading Johnson Controls' Automotive Systems Group since 1990. Mr. Barth was elected to Johnson Controls Board of Directors in 1997. Mr. Roell, 48, had served as the company's Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 1991. Since joining Johnson Controls in 1982 he held the positions of Corporate Controller and Treasurer among other financial management positions. Mr. Dennis, 47, most recently served as Controller for the company's Automotive Systems Group. He joined Johnson Controls in 1983. Both Messrs. Barth and Dennis are located at Johnson Controls Automotive Systems Group headquarters in Plymouth, Michigan.
