Baan Opens Automotive Software Solution Center in Michigan

               Baan Company President Tom Tinsley Marks Opening

    TROY, Mich., Sept. 23 -- Baan Company , a
major supplier of information technology solutions to the automotive industry,
will be holding formal grand opening ceremonies for its Michigan Automotive
Solution Center on Thursday, September 24 in Troy.  Reporters and editors are
invited to tour the facility, meet senior auto industry executives, and take
part in software demonstrations.
    The new Michigan Automotive Solution Center is the first of several
similar facilities Baan Company has slated for construction around the world
to server the automotive sector.  Occupying more than 5,000 square feet at
Baan Company's Detroit-area offices, the Automotive Solution Center is
designed as a multi-functional tool for Baan Company's sales professionals and
its business partners to showcase Baan Company's enterprise applications
software.  The facility will provide simulations of automotive industry
manufacturing software and business models, allowing current and potential
customers to "test drive" the appropriate enterprise applications solution
packages for their needs.
    Speakers at the event include Tom Tinsley, CEO of Baan Company;
Frank Berger, President of Baan Automotive Vertical; and Pat Flynn, CIO of
PACCAR.  Entertainment and hors d'oeuvres will be available.  The grand
opening will be held on September 24 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Baan
Company's Troy offices, located at 755 West Big Beaver, Suite 1200 in Troy.
