Donnelly Announces Return of Jeffrey P. WincelHOLLAND, Mich., Sept. 21 -- Donnelly Corporation announced today that Jeffrey P. Wincel will rejoin the company as vice president of corporate procurement and materials, effective the week of September 28. Wincel, 35, previously had worked at Donnelly from May 1996 to October 1997, starting as director of corporate materials then being named vice president of corporate materials. Wincel will be directly responsible for North American purchasing and materials and will help set strategic direction for Donnelly's purchasing and materials activities worldwide. "Donnelly has seen significant benefits from the purchasing plans and strategies Jeff put in place in our North American Automotive Operations (NAAO)," said Donn Viola, Donnelly's chief operating officer for North America. "Along with making our NAAO processes even more robust, Jeff will help us make similar improvements in our European operations. Jeff's a great guy, a hard worker and a excellent strategist. We're glad to have him back in our company." With more than 12 years experience in the automotive industry, Wincel has developed a high level of materials and purchasing expertise at companies including General Motors, Ford and ASC. Most recently, he worked as director of purchasing for worldwide inflatable restraints and director of purchasing for the worldwide occupant restraint systems group at TRW. "Returning to Donnelly is a great opportunity," Wincel said. A native of Dearborn, Michigan, Wincel has a bachelor's degree in labor relations and an MBA in materials and logistics management, both from Michigan State University.
