SDRC Launches Metaphase Enterprise Solution Provider - e!sp - Program

CINCINNATI--Sept. 17, 1998--SDRC , the worldwide PDM market leader, today announced the introduction of the Metaphase Enterprise Solution Provider (e!sp(SM)) program. This new program identifies and promotes technology and service providers who complement the enterprise product data management (PDM) capabilities of Metaphase(R) Enterprise(TM) software.
SDRC recognizes the value of alliances with complementary technology and service providers to extend its product offerings to the PDM marketplace. To help customers identify companies whose products and services build upon Metaphase Enterprise's PDM functionality, SDRC has formalized relationships with 13 complementary, best-in-class providers of software, hardware and implementation services through the e!sp program.
"We've aligned ourselves with leading technology and service providers to streamline the purchase and implementation process for our customers," said Bob Nierman, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of SDRC. "We set high standards for our e!sp members, so our customers know they can count on those companies to provide the best products and services for their Metaphase Enterprise solutions."
In the software category, SDRC has extended e!sp membership to InterData Access, Inc.; Altair Computing, Inc.; Siemens ANL, a division of Siemens AG; Engineering Animation, Inc.; and International TechneGroup, Inc.; software developers that produce interfaces between Metaphase Enterprise and complementary CAD, imaging, visualization and ERP products. SDRC is also inducting into the program Altris Software, Inc. and CMstat Corporation, software companies that build functionality on top of the Metaphase solution architecture. Through the e!sp program, these companies are certified by SDRC for their competency in applying Metaphase technology. This is intended to ensure the ability of these software companies to provide a high level of capability for Metaphase Enterprise customers. As a VAR/OEM of Metaphase products, Intergraph Corporation is also a member of the e!sp program.
Implementation companies that are members of the e!sp program complement SDRC's Worldwide Services division. To date, SDRC has extended e!sp membership to Siemens Business Services; several other worldwide services organizations will be inducted throughout 1998. These companies provide a highly skilled pool of PDM consultants who offer expertise in Metaphase applications and its proven implementation methodology.
Platform providers including Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, Silicon Graphics, Inc., Digital Equipment Corporation and IBM round out the e!sp membership. These vendors provide the hardware platform and consulting expertise that is vital to ensure the speed and performance demanded by an enterprise PDM system.
SDRC works closely with its e!sp membership with the goal of ensuring seamless integration with Metaphase products, services and methodologies. By providing a broader scope of services and functionality, the e!sp program extends SDRC's PDM market presence, and helps to speed its customers' implementations and time-to-market.
