Federal-Mogul's Chassis Products Awarded Consecutive Hours Health and Safety AwardSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Sept. 15 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's Mexico City chassis products manufacturing facility was awarded the company's Health and Safety Consecutive Hours Award for the second quarter of 1998. The Consecutive Hours Award is given quarterly to the facility that holds the record for the most consecutive hours worked with a safety score of 100. The chassis products facility won the award as a result of 276,768 consecutive hours worked with zero injuries and illnesses. "We're very proud of our employees in Mexico City for their outstanding achievement in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment," said Steve Feeny, vice president, general products operations. "The team has raised the record for consecutive hours worked without an accident from 166,606 to 276,768. We are extremely pleased with their dedication to Federal-Mogul's corporate health and safety." On behalf of the chassis product employees, Plant Manager Eduardo Garcia will receive the special commemorative award, recognizing the facility's achievement. Federal-Mogul's Chapel-en-le-Frith, England facility was the recipient of the award for the first quarter 1998 with 166,606 consecutive hours worked. The company's Greenville, Michigan facility received the award for the fourth quarter 1997 with 144,432 hours worked.
