20th Century Industries Declares Quarterly Dividend

    WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--Sept. 9, 1998--20th Century Industries , the Woodland Hills-based insurance holding company, declared a third-quarter cash dividend of $0.16 per common share, payable on Sept. 28, 1998, to shareholders of record as of Sept. 17, 1998, according to William L. Mellick, president and chief executive officer of the company.
    20th Century Industries is the ninth-largest publicly held personal automobile insurer in the United States. The company was founded in 1958. The company's wholly owned subsidiaries, 20th Century Insurance Co. and 21st Century Casualty Co., market personal automobile and personal excess liability insurance.
