Meritor Automotive Elects Eggert, Stelfox Corporate OfficersTROY, Mich., Sept. 9 -- Meritor Automotive, Inc. today announced that its board of directors has elected two corporate officers. Glenn J. Eggert has been elected senior vice president, Operations, reporting to Prakash R. Mulchandani, president, Heavy Vehicle Systems. Eggert has strategic responsibility for all manufacturing operations within Meritor. Eggert has held increasingly responsible operations management positions with Meritor, previously Rockwell Automotive, for more than 20 years. Eggert joined Rockwell Automation's Allen-Bradley organization in 1978. Eggert holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Association of Manufacturing Excellence. The board has also elected Diane M. Stelfox vice president and corporate controller, reporting to Thomas A. Madden, senior vice president and chief financial officer. Stelfox fills the position previously held by Lawrence J. Lockwood, who has been appointed vice president of finance for the company's Light Vehicle Systems business. Stelfox is responsible for all financial planning and analysis, metrics and performance reporting across the company, as well as external reporting, policies and the consolidation of financial results analysis. She had served as assistant corporate controller since joining the company earlier in 1998. Prior to that time, Stelfox held several senior finance and accounting positions within ITT Automotive, from 1986 to 1997, including controller for its Body Systems Division, controller for its Aftermarket Division, director of Planning and Reporting and director of Accounting. Prior to joining ITT Automotive, she served with Arthur Andersen LLP, from 1979 to 1986, most recently as an audit manager. Stelfox earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Detroit. Meritor, with 1997 sales of $3.3 billion, is a global supplier of a broad range of components and systems for commercial, specialty and light vehicles.
