Ford Credit Again Ranked Highest in J.D. Power and Associates Study

    DEARBORN, Mich., Sept. 8 -- J.D. Power and Associates has
given Ford Credit the award for highest dealer satisfaction in floor planning
in its 1998 Dealer Financing Satisfaction Study, again showing Ford Credit's
record of leadership in J.D. Power and Associates automotive financing
studies.
    This makes the third consecutive year that Ford Credit has been recognized
for its achievements in floor planning (inventory financing).
    Ford Credit has received more J.D. Power and Associates awards than any
other captive finance company, bank or credit union, since 1996 when the
organization began giving awards from its studies of dealer finance and
consumer finance satisfaction with automotive financing.  Ford Credit now has
a total of five awards from the two annual J.D. Power and Associates studies.
    Ford Credit also was honored for dealer satisfaction with retail leasing
and customer satisfaction with initial loans in past J.D. Power and Associates
studies.
