Power Lift Acquires Certified Lift Truck Co., the Exclusive Kalmar Distributor in Los Angeles

    LOS ANGELES--Sept. 1, 1998--Power Lift Corp., the exclusive Caterpillar Lift Truck distributor in Los Angeles County, Orange County and the San Fernando Valley, has recently acquired Certified Lift Truck Co., the exclusive Kalmar distributor in Los Angeles.
    Certified Lift Truck, established in 1967, generates annual sales of $3.6 million and specializes in lift trucks valued at $40,000 to $1 million.
    According to Paul DiFuccia, vice president of sales and marketing at Power Lift, "Our acquisition of Certified Lift gives us the opportunity to broaden our customer base and better service the Los Angeles harbor which requires special equipment."
    With this acquisition, Power Lift continues its impressive record of growth. From its modest beginning of $230,000 in annual sales, Power Lift has enjoyed enormous growth to more than $50 million in annual revenue.
