Lockheed Martin Selects DesignQA Software From Prescient Technologies

    BOSTON--Sept. 1, 1998--Prescient Technologies, Incorporated announced today that Lockheed Martin Corporation, a global space, aeronautics, electronics and technology products leader, has selected DesignQA(tm) as an Engineering Process Improvement (EPI) standard MCA. The selection of DesignQA follows a comprehensive evaluation. The goal of using DesignQA at Lockheed Martin will be to begin the process of ensuring product quality as early as possible in the design process. This agreement is a multi-year, corporate license agreement for DesignQA.
    DesignQA detects, assesses, and corrects design and modeling problems and provides the user with quantitative and qualitative assessments of individual problems and overall CAD model quality. This functionality enables a user to evaluate the overall impact of a CAD model problem, and correct it early in the design process. Prescient Technologies' DesignQA is directly integrated with most major commercial CAD/CAM systems in use within Lockheed Martin. DesignQA helps shorten the product development cycle by eliminating unnecessary iterations due to design or modeling errors, omissions or inconsistencies.
