Simula Names Delphi Exec To Board of Directors

Simula Names Delphi Automotive Systems Executive, Lon Offenbacher, to Board of Directors
    PHOENIX, Sept. 1 -- Simula, Inc. announced today
that the company has elected Lon A. Offenbacher to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Offenbacher is Director of Product Engineering for the Interior and
Lighting Division of Delphi Automotive Systems.
    Delphi Automotive Systems, with headquarters in Troy, Michigan, is the
world's most diversified supplier of automotive components, systems, and
modules.  In March, 1998, Simula and Delphi entered into a teaming agreement
to integrate Simula's Inflatable Tubular Structure into Delphi's Advanced
Safety Interior.  Delphi is aggressively marketing this technology to vehicle
manufacturers worldwide.
    Mr. Offenbacher has 27 years of experience in the development, engineering
and supply of automotive components and systems, including occupant protection
systems and interior systems.  In addition to his responsibilities with
Delphi, Mr. Offenbacher serves as Vice Chairman of the Automotive Occupant
Restraint Council, an industry trade association.
