Simula Names Retired Boeing Co. Executive to Board of Directors

Simula Names Retired Boeing Company Executive, Dean Borgman, to Board of Directors
    PHOENIX, Sept. 1 -- Simula, Inc. announced today
the election of Dean Borgman to its Board of Directors.  Mr. Borgman, 57,
recently retired as Senior Vice President responsible for The Boeing Company
facility in Mesa, Arizona.  Mr. Borgman was named to this position
in August 1997 after the merger of Boeing and McDonnell Douglas.  Borgman had
16 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility with Boeing
and McDonnell Aircraft and Missile Systems, beginning with Director of
Research and Development and moving into Vice President Commercial Programs in
1991.  Borgman retired in July 1998.
    "Dean will bring great experience and industry contacts to our Board.  His
background and reputation in the aerospace business will compliment the other
skills on our Board represented by Board members familiar with the automotive
