Integrated Systems and Daimler-Benz Extend Corporate Contract
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--Sept. 1, 1998--
Long-Standing Partnership with Leading Manufacturer Strengthens
Integrated Systems' Automotive Design Solutions
Integrated Systems, Inc. (ISI), and Daimler-Benz GmbH today announced a three-year extension of their corporate contract for use of Integrated Systems' automotive design and development tools at Daimler-Benz.
With this contract, the two companies will continue their long-standing collaboration to enhance Integrated Systems' embedded control solutions used to develop some of the auto industry's most sophisticated vehicles.
For more than four years, Daimler-Benz has used Integrated Systems' software tools to design and develop some of the industry's most advanced vehicle systems. These include engine management systems, transmissions, vehicle stability systems and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems.
The reliability and efficiency of those systems are key differentiating features in overall automobile quality.
"Over the years, Integrated Systems has worked closely with us to provide solutions that meet our exacting development standards," said Christoph Sziegoleit, IT marketing manager at Daimler-Benz. "We are pleased to extend this successful partnership as our engineering teams work to produce next-generation vehicles."
"This agreement between Integrated Systems and Daimler-Benz underscores our reputation as the automotive industry's leading embedded solutions provider," said David St. Charles, president and CEO of Integrated Systems.
"With pRISM+(TM) Automotive, we are committed to supporting the world's most cutting-edge automotive manufacturers and suppliers with technology that is strategic to their engineering operations."
With the growing complexity of automobile design and the imperative for adherence to production schedules and budgets, the automotive industry increasingly relies upon development tools to speed the design of new software for state-of-the art vehicles. Integrated Systems has recently introduced its pRISM+ Automotive tool chain to address the specific design needs of the automotive market.
pRISM+ Automotive is a CORBA-based open-architecture framework that integrates Integrated Systems and third party design and development tools, targeting Integrated Systems' pOSEK(TM) operating system.
