David Chandler, Chairman Of Redlaw Industries Inc. DiesMISSISSAUGA, Ont., Aug. 24 /CNW-PRN/ - David L. Chandler, chairman of the board, president and CEO of Redlaw Industries Inc. died suddenly at his New York City apartment on Friday, August 21, 1998. At the time of his death, Mr. Chandler was also chairman of the board of Johnston Industries, Inc., since 1981 and was Johnston Industries' president from 1990 to 1992 and president and CEO from 1990 through 1995. He again temporarily assumed the duties of president and CEO of Johnston Industries in 1997, stepping down in March of this year. From 1991 to 1996, he served as chairman and CEO of Jupiter National, Inc., an investment company that included textile operations and a venture capital portfolio. Jupiter National was subsequently merged into Johnston Industries and later dissolved. He is survived by his wife, the former Ann Phillips; a daughter, Allyn P. Chandler, and a son, David Lee Chandler.
