Porsche Cars North America Names Dr. Wolfgang Lindheim as Chief Financial Officer

    ATLANTA, Aug. 24 -- Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) today
announced the appointment of Dr. Wolfgang Lindheim, 38, to the position of
Chief Financial Officer effective Sept. 1, 1998.  In this capacity, Dr.
Lindheim will be responsible for all of PCNA's financial and administrative
activities.
    Dr. Lindheim comes to PCNA from Porsche AG in Stuttgart, Germany, where he
has been the Director of Strategy and Business Development for the last four
years.  In that position, he provided successful leadership on such projects
as the corporate-wide Porsche Improvement Process (PVP) and the SUV Strategy
Team.
    Dr. Lindheim holds a Ph.D. in IT-Management, and a Masters Degree in
Economics and Engineering from the University of Graz in Austria.  Prior to
joining Porsche, he was a Management Consultant with McKinsey & Company in
Munich for six years.
    In his new position, Dr. Lindheim succeeds Mr. Ross Dupper who has assumed
the newly created positions of Executive Vice President of Porsche Enterprises
and Executive Vice President of Porsche Credit Corporation.
