BELLEVILLE, Mich., August 18 -- Scott Isdaner, who served as
CEO of the Belleville, Mich.-based chain, Murray's Discount Auto Stores,
resigned to pursue other interests. A new management team comprised of
President and COO Michael Klein and Fred Tinsey, Executive Vice President and
CFO, will lead the growing chain going forward. Michael Klein made the
announcement today.
Klein joined the corporation in 1985 and has served in a broad range of
management capacities. Tinsey joined Murray's in 1995 after a tenure at Kmart
as Vice President Finance/Controller and CFO of the Super K division; prior to
that he served as a partner of Price Waterhouse.
Klein said, "While assuring our customers and vendors of a seamless
transition in management, I would like to recognize the significant
contributions that Scott Isdaner made to our organization while serving as CEO
since 1995. During his tenure he saw the company expand from 47 stores to the
79 that we currently operate. He was also active in bringing Murray's into
the Chicago market."
Detroit-based Murray's Discount Auto Stores, the Midwest's largest auto
parts retailer, has been serving Michigan since 1972. The company employs
1,700 individuals, and operates 79 stores in four major Midwest markets --
Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland and Chicago.
