CCC Information Services Group Announces Share Repurchase Plan

    CHICAGO, Aug. 18 -- CCC Information Services Group Inc.
, the leading provider of solutions for the automotive claims
industry, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the
repurchase, from time to time, of up to 2,500,000 shares of its common stock
on the open market, in privately negotiated transactions, or otherwise.
    David Phillips, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commenting on the
Board's actions, said, "The Board of Directors adopted the share repurchase
program because it believes the stock is an excellent investment at recent
price levels.  The Company's strong balance sheet supports this attractive
investment without limiting other investment opportunities." Phillips added,
"The primary objective of our management team is to grow CCC in accordance
with our publicly stated targets of 20% revenue growth and 25% profit growth."
    CCC currently has 25 million shares outstanding and is traded on the
Nasdaq national market under the symbol CCCG.
