Stoneage Introduces 'Ugg' to Auto Enthusiasts at The Woodward Dream Cruise in DetroitSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Aug. 13 -- He's big. He's inflatable. He's colorful. He's Ugg, the prehistoric mascot of Stoneage, a Detroit-based company providing free automotive buying services to consumers nationwide. Standing more than 10 feet tall and equipped with an internal fan to keep him cool, Ugg will be shaking hands with metro Detroiters from 10 to 11 a.m., and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the WOMC-FM stage at the northwest corner of 13 Mile Road and Woodward Avenue on Saturday, August 15. Children will receive balloons, key chains and toy cars from the oversized character during those times. Ugg, with his big ears, red beard, caveman clothes and club was "born" in Nebraska. He recently moved to Detroit to educate car shoppers about Stoneage's committment to improving the process of buying and selling cars. "Stoneage can help consumers research and purchase a new or used car, negotiate a fair price, find dealerships with the highest satisfaction ratings, check the history of a vehicle, access financing and even sell their vehicle," said Ugg. Stoneage was established in 1996 in Southfield, and is now one of the nation's top six automotive buying services. Stoneage provides direct access to 16,000 car dealerships across the country, and to more than 200,000 used vehicles nationwide.
