"We want to provide information and resources that make better citizens, and enhance their lives." Participating organizations include Focus:HOPE, The Skillman Foundation's Parenting Matters Project, The Greening of Detroit, Homes for Black Children and COTS, among many others. A family affair, the event will also feature the Warner Brothers ("WB") Frog, hydroplane racer Jerry Bell and his hydroplane boat, clowns, jugglers and a special flea market to benefit Children's Hospital of Michigan. The Community Awareness Day's focus is to increase awareness of the numerous community organizations that exist and the benefits they provide.
