Neyer Elected President of ESD The Engineering SocietySOUTHFIELD, Mich., Aug. 6 -- Jerome C. Neyer, P.E. has been elected President of ESD The Engineering Society. Neyer, succeeds David Hagen, Retired General Manager of Alpha at Ford Motor Company. Neyer is Chief Executive Officer of NTH Consultants, Ltd., a 250-person consulting engineering firm specializing in infrastructure and environmental engineering services. Neyer, has over 37 years of experience in the field of geotechnical and environmental engineering. A civil engineering graduate of the University of Detroit, Neyer, went on to receive his Master of Science degree in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering from the University of Washington in 1963. In 1968, Neyer, co-founded NTH Consultants. Neyer, is a professional engineer registered in 17 states. He is also a diplomate of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. He has served as president of both the Consulting Engineers Council of Michigan and the Southeastern Michigan Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He also served as national president of The Association of Engineering Firms Practicing in the Geosciences. In addition to his engineering work, Neyer has been chairman of the Farmington Hills Building Authority and currently serves as a trustee of Lighthouse of Oakland County and a member of file board of directors of the Unity Park Neighborhood Revitalization project in Pontiac, Michigan.
