Best-Ever Sales Momentum Continues for Toyota's Cincinnati Region
CINCINNATI, Aug. 6 -- Toyota's Cincinnati Region set another
car sales record in July of 8,337 vehicles, a 4 percent increase over July
1997 when sales totaled 8,016.
"The sales momentum for the Cincinnati Region has carried over to July by
posting its fourth month of record sales for cars," said Mike Reding, general
manager of the Cincinnati Region. "Our Toyota Avalon, and the best-selling
car for 1997, the Camry, had sales increases of 22 percent and 8 percent,
respectively. Posting its second-best sales month in the Region's history,
was the Toyota Land Cruiser, with a sales increase of 45 percent over 1997."
"Our dealers are poised for an 'Awesome August' as they kick-off for
record sales of 1998 vehicles in anticipation of the arrival of new 1999
models," Reding said.
The Toyota Cincinnati Region includes 118 dealers in Ohio, Kentucky,
Tennessee and the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
