Federal-Mogul Announces Organizational Changes Sealing Systems - North AmericaSOUTHFIELD, Mich., Aug. 6 -- Rick Streicher, vice president, Sealing Systems - North America, Federal-Mogul Corporation , announces organizational changes within the Sealing Systems - North America Group with the following appointments effective immediately: * Steve Neises, director of advanced manufacturing engineering * Dr. Gary Novak, director of advanced technology Steve Neises, Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Steve Neises has been appointed director of advanced manufacturing engineering, Sealing Systems - North America. Neises will be responsible for coordinating process improvement efforts and implementing the long-term manufacturing process strategy for the Sealing Systems group. Prior to this appointment, Neises held positions of increasing responsibility with Fel-Pro including chief manufacturing engineer, manager of metal and edge molded metal plate, unit manager and unit leader. Before joining the Fel-Pro team in 1990, Neises was with the Woodward Governor Company for eight years in a variety of technical and managerial roles. Neises earned a Master of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Gary Novak, Director of Advanced Technology Dr. Gary Novak has been appointed director of advanced technology, Sealing Systems - North America. Interacting with engine manufacturer's advanced engineering organizations, Novak will provide direction for research and advanced technology efforts within Sealing Systems on a global basis. He will also coordinate these activities between Federal-Mogul Technology and Sealing Systems Advanced Technology groups. Prior to this appointment, Novak held the position of director of advanced technology at Fel-Pro since 1990. Prior to joining Fel-Pro, he held the positions of bio-medical researcher and assistant professor for the St. Luke's Medical School at Rush University. In addition, for a period of eight years, Novak held positions of increasing responsibility at Borg Warner Automotive's corporate research center developing transmissions, chains, torque converters, and drive line components. Novak earned a Ph.D., Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Illinois.
