Chrysler International Reports July SalesAUBURN HILLS, Mich., Aug. 5 -- Chrysler Corporation announced that total international sales outside of North America were down 18 percent for the month of July, with 17,503 units sold compared to 21,259 units sold one year ago. Chrysler's Europe region was up two percent for the month, but all other regions reported decreases -- Latin America down 14 percent, Asia/Pacific down 46 percent, and Middle East/Africa down 47 percent. Total international sales year-to-date are down 11 percent, with 121,688 vehicles sold in 1998 compared to 137,442 sold during the same period in 1997.
