BMW Reports July Sales; Monthly and Year-to-Date Sales Increase
WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., Aug. 4 -- BMW of North America, Inc.,
reported July retail sales of 11,139 automobiles, an increase of 3.4 percent
and year-to-date sales of 78,008, a 7 percent increase, as BMW continues to
set U.S. sales records.
Monthly sales of BMW's 3 Series models, up 11 percent compared to the same
period a year ago, included the first sales of the new 3 Series sedans. (The
new 3 Series models are designated by the (E46) following the model number on
the attached chart.)
Land Rover North America, Inc., a member of the BMW Group, reported July
sales of 1,768 vehicles and year-to-date sales of 11,820.
Consolidated U.S. July sales for the two companies were 12,907 units
(BMW: 11,139; Land Rover: 1,768) and consolidated year-to-date sales were
89,820 vehicles (BMW: 78,008; Land Rover 11,820).
