Land Rover Reports July Sales

    LANHAM, Md., Aug. 3 -- Land Rover North America, Inc. today
reported July sales of 1,768.
    Charles R. Hughes, President, Land Rover North America, Inc., said, "While
July 1998 numbers lagged behind the record set a year ago in July of 1997,
Land Rover sales continue to be healthy.  Indeed, we are proud to announce
that we set an all-time Range Rover sales record for the month of July."
