    DETROIT, Aug. 3 -- Thyssen Inc., North America is pleased to
announce its continuing participation in the National Night out event on
August 4, 1998.  Together with the Parkdale/N. Campbell/Wesson Block Club,
Thyssen Inc., N.A. is sponsoring a special community picnic for the residents
surrounding its steel and aluminum processing center facilities at the
adjacent Kronk Recreation Center in Detroit.  Joining this year's sponsorship
with donations are the Coca-Cola Bottling Company and Frito-Lay Inc. (of
