Moll Industries Completes Acquisition of Gemini Plastics
KNOXVILLE, TN--August 3, 1998--Moll Industries Inc. today announced its acquisition of Gemini Plastics Services, a leading injection molding company that supplies plastic components to the medical, telecommunications, and military industries.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Crugar Tuttle, President of Gemini Plastics, will continue to head the Gemini operations as a division of Moll Industries. Headquartered in Davie, Florida, Gemini had revenues of $21 million in 1997.
In making the announcement, George Votis, Chairman and Chief Executive Office of Moll Industries stated that the acquisition of Gemini fits the company's long-term business strategy. "Over the last year, we have made several key acquisitions that have enabled Moll to become one of the leading global plastics injection molding companies. Our decision to acquire Gemini Plastics Services reaffirms our commitment to and deepens our capabilities in both the medical and telecommunications industries."
Moll Industries recently announced it has successfully merged with Anchor Advanced Products, a leading full-service supplier of plastic parts for the consumer, cosmetics and medical industries. The combined companies, which will operate under the Moll Industries name, had revenues of $415 million in 1997 and 26 facilities in key locations throughout the United States and Europe.
