Cooper Expands East Coast Distribution
FINDLAY, Ohio--July 31, 1998--Building upon a reputation for superior customer service, Cooper Tire & Rubber Company began expanding its range of next-day tire delivery through the addition of a new East coast distribution center.The new 270,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to be in operation in August and enhances warehousing capabilities for the Cooper brand as well as many of the company's associated brands. Located in South Brunswick, N.J., along the New Jersey Turnpike, the facility utilizes the latest warehousing technology and is equipped with 30 dock doors.
"This facility will enable Cooper to reduce our current processing and delivery time throughout the northeast and enhance service to the rest of the country," describes Bill Woeste, Cooper's director of operations planning & logistics. "Cooper is known throughout the tire industry as having outstanding customer service. We have identified this facility as an important element in making our service to customers even better."

Cooper will be making the transition from its existing 62,500-square-foot warehouse located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The company will be maintaining its current New Brunswick workforce at the new location. In addition, 15 people are planned to be added to accommodate multiple shifts at the new facility.
