Federal-Mogul Sells Fel-Pro Chemical Products L.P.

Federal-Mogul Completes Sale of Fel-Pro Chemical Products L.P.
    SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 31 -- Federal-Mogul Corporation's
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dick Snell announced today
that the company has completed the sale of Fel-Pro Chemical Products L.P., to
Loctite Corporation, a part of Henkel KGaA, a global specialist in applied
chemistry headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany.
    "Completing the divestiture of Fel-Pro Chemical shows Federal-Mogul's
commitment to our strategy.  This was not a complementary product line nor a
platform for automotive growth and is better served in the hands of Loctite,"
said Snell.
    In connection with the sale of this business, Federal-Mogul has also
entered into supply and distribution arrangements with the buyer to ensure
continuity of supply to customers.  Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
    Headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, Federal-Mogul is a $5 billion
automotive parts manufacturer providing innovative solutions and systems to
