    EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--July 31, 1998--

"Who hasn't heard of Barbie. It's about time she gets on the bandwagon
here and join us at NASCAR(R). I've done it all: drag racing, Indie
Cars, I guess she looked at what I did and said, "Hey I've got do go
do what Johnny Andretti did; and just went straight to NASCAR(R). I
guess I could say I've got a Barbie on my shoulder."

"In all honesty, it's pretty neat to have an American icon like Barbie
in NASCAR(R) racing. I've got a three-year old daughter and other than
having the little dye-cast cars which is fun, this is more up her

Barbie will be pretty neat. It will give her something to play with
that is race-oriented. You don't have to be of the male gender to be a
successful Winston Cup Race Car Driver. I don't see Ken in a racing

little girl onto the sport. Plus, there are the collectors, I think
moms are going to be wanting these more than the little girls are."
