Trident Automotive Lighting Division Awarded QS-9000/ISO-9001 Certification

    KENTWOOD, Mich.--July 30, 1998--Trident Automotive Lighting Division, a subsidiary of Dura Automotive Systems, Inc. (Dura) , has achieved QS-9000/ISO-9001 compliance and has been registered by KPMG Quality Resister (KPMG QR) and is accredited with ANSI-RAB and the Dutch Council for Certification (RvA).

    Trident Automotive Lighting Division is a world-class supplier of interior and exterior lighting products for automotive and other vehicular applications. The Lighting Division has the capabilities that make it a full-service supplier to OEM and Tier 1 customers. This includes product design using the latest CAD technologies and the ability to communicate with our customers' design staffs electronically. The designers are backed up with a complete testing facility that includes a full lab and light tunnels. The Lighting Division's production facilities include thermoplastic and thermoset molding, vacuum metallizing, plastic hardcoating, painting (including a 2K robotic system), robotic gluing, hot plate welding, vibration welding, sonic welding, and assembly operations that include 100% automated testing.
