Orbital Lists on Berlin Stock Exchange

    PERTH, Australia, July 20 -- Orbital Engine Corporation Ltd
has been listed on the Berlin Stock Exchange.  German
trading of the company's American Depository Receipts (ADR) commenced on
16 July 1998.  The company trades under the symbol "ORE", and its German Cusip
Number is 886516.
    Following Orbital's announcement on 19 June 1998 regarding an agreement
signed with Daimler-Benz and Siemens Automotive, interest from the German
investment community led broker Berliner Freiverkehr (Aktien) AG to initiate
proceedings to commence trading on the Berlin market.  Under Berlin Stock
Exchange regulations, over the counter listings are initiated by a broker who
sponsors the company.
    The listing is at no cost to Orbital and does not involve the issuance of
any additional equity.
    Orbital's Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Peter Hatfull said, "This listing
demonstrates the interest Orbital is currently generating in financial markets
throughout the world.  We believe we are in an excellent position to
capitalise on the rapidly escalating demand for direct fuel injection
technology in the automotive industry."
    In addition to the most recent listing, Orbital trades ordinary shares on
the Australian Stock Exchange and ADR's on the New York Stock Exchange.  Each
ADR represents eight ordinary shares in the company.
