WHAT:    Tournament Draw News Conference and VIP Reception for the
         Mercedes-Benz Cup. First-round matchups are revealed in a 
         drawing ceremony for the 72nd edition of Los Angeles' premier
         professional tennis tournament, the 1998 Mercedes-Benz Cup,
         presented by Balance Bar.

         The news conference will include the tournament 
         draw/pairings, details about July 27's star-studded Evening
         at the Net gala, including celebrity participants and a 
         special charity announcement by actor Steve Guttenberg.

         The Mercedes-Benz Cup runs July 27 to Aug. 2 at the Los 
         Angeles Tennis Center, located on the UCLA campus.
