Auto Repair Company Wins Business of the Month Award
SEATTLE, July 14 -- Talk Radio 570 KVI, the Better Business
Bureau (BBB) and Cascade Bank have named Auto Hound Collision as the Business
of the Month for June 1998.
These three organizations recently joined forces to present Business of
the Week, an awards program that recognizes Western Washington companies for
outstanding customer service, good works in the community, innovative business
practices and entrepreneurial spirit. Auto Hound Collision, located at 771
Valley St., #220, in Seattle, was named the Business of the Week for the week
ending June 12, 1998, and is the first company to be honored as Business of
the Month.
"We were impressed with the company's process of following up with
customers after they have been serviced," said Robert W.G. Andrew, BBB
president. "Auto Hound has an independent company survey its customers
regarding communication and satisfaction, and then responds to any concerns.
The fact that Auto Hound is taking this extra step to ensure that customers
are satisfied deserves recognition."
The company volunteers its services, including auto repair and painting,
to local community organizations that serve as transitional homes for youth,
elderly, and women.
"As a company, they place a great emphasis on individual contribution.
They believe in everyone being their best without worrying about 'what's in it
for me,'" said Fred Safstrom, president of Cascade Bank.
Ace Hardware, located at 9000 Roosevelt Way, N.E., in Seattle, and Data
Base Designs, located at 1118 Post Ave., in Seattle, were named Business of
the Week for the weeks ending June 5 and 19, 1998. They were also contenders
for the June Business of the Month.
Consumers can pick up a Business of the Week nomination form by stopping
by any Cascade Bank branch, Billy McHale's restaurant, the BBB or 570 KVI. The
nomination form is also online at http://www.oregonandwesternwa.bbb.org. Companies
located in Western Washington, excluding Southwestern Washington, are
eligible. Winners are announced on 570 KVI each Friday morning by radio
personality Kirby Wilbur. Weekly winners become automatically eligible for the
Business of the Month. The monthly winner receives on-air recognition and a
work-place party hosted by a 570 KVI personality. All nominees are eligible
for the 1998-99 Business of the Year award that will be presented at a special
ceremony next April.
