Miller Named Corporate General Counsel for IntermetTROY, Mich., July 14 -- Intermet Corporation announced today that Alan J. Miller has been named corporate general counsel for Intermet. In this position, Miller will be responsible for Intermet's legal activities, including the coordination of all external legal counsel. Miller joins Intermet from Toledo, Ohio-based Libbey-Owens-Ford Company, where he was vice president, general counsel and secretary. At L-O-F, Miller was also responsible for establishing the in-house legal function for the company. Prior to this, he served as staff attorney with Aeroquip-Vickers, Incorporated and had been in private practice with a leading Ohio-based law firm. Miller earned juris doctor and bachelor of science degrees from Ohio State University in Columbus. With headquarters in Troy, Michigan, Intermet Corporation and its subsidiaries design and manufacture precision iron and aluminum cast components for automotive and industrial equipment manufacturers worldwide. Intermet also produces precision machined components and manufactures cranes and specialty service vehicles.
