MSM AG Announces Strategic Partnership With DOMA of Belgium

    ZUG, Switzerland--July 13, 1998--

-- Move Insures Marketshare Leadership In Europe For
2 Stroke Motorcycle Exhaust Systems --

MSM AG of Switzerland, and its German subsidiary, Softech GmbH, the largest producer of aftermarket 2 stroke motorcycle exhaust systems in Europe, marketed under the "Special Power Exhaust System" SPESO product line, announced Monday a strategic and financial alliance with the number two producer, DOMA of Belgium.
A new joint production facility will be operational in Belgium on Aug. 1, 1998, organized under the name of MRP NV. Softech will provide production equipment, financial support and managerial expertise. DOMA will oversee product production and plant management. The new facility's capacity to produce is estimated in excess of 20,000 units per year. This is a 100% output increase from the current separate production plants.
In addition to joint production the companies have agreed to cross develop products. Softech's German facility will become the main development center with brand new R&D equipment from major manufacturers like Superflow and Dyno-Jet. Both SPES and DOMA brands are available for Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM, Husaberg and Husqvarna motorcycles.
These combined efforts tie in well with another related announcement of Softech's support for Team KTM with regards to the 1999 FIM Motocross World Cup Championship series and KTM Motorcycle AG becoming a world-wide reseller of Softech's products via their dealership network.
In 1997 Softech went through management reorganization, with Herbert P. Goertz, the company's founder, taking control as the Managing Director. "This year has been explosive for Softech, not only in business but at the track," stated Herbert P. Goertz. Currently Joel Smets leads in the FIM 500cc series riding with a SPES pipe on a Husaberg. In the even more popular 250cc class, Team Kawasaki with rider Sebastien Tortelli are just a couple of points behind the leader and are expected to win the Championship. "With DOMA on board we will have 3 of the 5 factory teams riding SPES next year, we will not only dominate at the finish line but we anticipate double digit sales growth," Goertz continued to say.
Softech also announced a reorganization of its reseller network throughout Europe, replacing several companies with larger distributors who can keep up with product distribution demands.
