GenCorp Declares Dividend

    FAIRLAWN, Ohio, July 10 -- Today the Board of Directors of
GenCorp Inc. declared a quarterly cash dividend of fifteen cents
per share on the issued and outstanding $0.10 par value common stock of the
company payable August 31, 1998 to shareholders of record on August 3,1998.
    GenCorp is a market-driven, technology-based manufacturer with leading
positions in numerous polymer product markets as well as the automotive and
aerospace and defense industries.
