Best-Ever June Sales Reported by Toyota's Cincinnati RegionCINCINNATI, July 7 -- Toyota's Cincinnati Region posted record car sales in June of 8,650 vehicles, a 4 percent increase over June 1997 when sales totaled 8,323. "Our Cincinnati Region has achieved a three-peat, our third best-ever month in a row for cars," said Mike Reding, general manager of the Cincinnati Region. "Our Kentucky-built Camry had its best-ever June in the history of the Region. Our Corolla had a 19 percent sales increase with sales of 1,835 versus 1,547 over last year. "Contributing to the record month was the sale of 453 vehicles at the third annual Georgetown, Kentucky, tent sale conducted by five area dealerships," Reding said. The sale at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky plant was open to Toyota associates and the general public. The Toyota Cincinnati Region includes 118 dealers in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.
