Shaneyfelt Promoted to Vice President - Sales
PHILADELPHIA--July 7, 1998--The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe & Jack , the nation's leading automotive aftermarket retail and service chain, announced that Steven D. Shaneyfelt has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president - Sales.Shaneyfelt, 42, joined Pep Boys in 1989 and has served as vice president - Southern Store Operations since 1996.
In his new capacity, Shaneyfelt will be responsible for the company's retail and commercial sales. The company's service centers will continue to be the responsibility of Bruce Chidsey, vice president - Service, who has served in that capacity since 1988. Messrs. Chidsey and Shaneyfelt report to Mark Page, senior vice president - Store Operations.
Pep Boys' CEO, Mitchell G. Leibovitz, made the following comments:
