Mobile-Area Toyota Sales Climb In June

    MIAMI, July 7 -- Toyota's three Mobile-area dealers today
reported a 16-percent climb in June retail truck sales and a 13-percent gain
in June retail car sales over the year-ago month.
    Mobile-area dealers include Airport Toyota, Bob Tyler Toyota and
Springhill Toyota.
    In the five-state region served by Southeast Toyota Distributors, Inc.,
total retail sales advanced 12 percent over June 1997.
    "We are anticipating sustained sales momentum through the summer,
especially with the introduction of the new Camry Solara in August," said
Southeast Toyota General Manager John Williams.
    Ranked first among Toyota's American distributors in sales and customer
