Alcohol Sensors International Ltd. Announces Shipment of Second Generation Sens-O-Lock and Resignation of Steven A. Martello
ISLANDIA, N.Y.--July 6, 1998--Alcohol Sensors International Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: ASIL), a developer and marketer of safety devices, including those that are designed to assist in the prevention of drinking and driving, today announced that the company has completed the sale and shipment of 161 second generation Sens-O-Lock units.The company anticipates recording revenues of approximately $50,000 on these Sens-O-Lock units. Joseph M. Lively, vice president and chief operating officer of the company, stated, "These sales evidence the results of the perseverance of the company in its efforts in developing the second generation Sens-O-Lock line. The initial comments from our dealers are positive; that the second generation Sens-O-Lock exceeds their expectations. The company anticipates receiving further orders from these initial customers and other dealers and distributors in the near future."
The company also announced that Steven A. Martello has resigned as president and chief executive officer of the company. Mr. Martello remains a director of the company. Mr. Lively will temporarily assume Mr. Martello's responsibilities.
